Philosophy: I take a humanistic approach to therapy in that I encourage a collaborative relationship between myself and my client. I use cognitive-behavioral strategies to address problematic thoughts and behaviors as well as psychodynamic techniques to uncover and address the root of the problem. I also work from a systemic framework believing that individuals are constantly being influenced and affected by other individuals and systems around them. I believe in taking an active role in the session by educating and sharing my therapeutic expertise but am also supportive and empathetic with my clients as they explore and process their problems and concerns.
