Philosophy:
I believe people can change and solve their own problems with some education and support. I am very practical and goal-focused. I give constructive feed-back and homework assignments to help the therapy move along at a productive pace. |

Practice:
I provide Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to treat depression and anxiety icluding Panic, Social phobia, Obsessive Complusive Disorder and Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I work with adults ages 18-80. I especially enjoy young adults ages 18-30 who are working on their individual development, relationships and careers. I also enjoy working with people in transitions: women going through menopause, people relocating to Center City from the suburbs, changes in martital status, retirement. Stress management is a specialty.
I am also an Employee Assistance Consultant (CEAP). This means that I have worked with people in their workplaces and on job issues such as attendance, performance problems, coworker relations, how to manage mental health and/or substance abuse issues in the work setting.
I am an experieced trainer and offer many seminars to companies looking to educate their employees. I also provide Critical Incident Stress Management for crises in the workplace. |

Additional information:
I offer a wonderful group called The Artist's Way. It is a 12 week process oriented group to recover creativity, decrease inner blocks and negative self-talk, get back on track with your art or life goals, and be the person you were meant to be. It is not therapy, but it is therapeutic. It is based on the book The Artist's Way, by Julia Cameron.
